Rucking Fitness Is Based in Sandwich, Rucking involves walking while carrying a weighted backpack, a simple form of fitness derived from military training exercises. This low-impact workout essentially means hiking with a backpack, whether in urban settings, which is often just called rucking, or in mountainous areas, known as hiking. You may have already experienced rucking when carrying books to school, traveling with luggage, or commuting with a heavy bag. It's a fundamental activity for humans, who are naturally adept at bearing loads.

This challenge provides a more intense workout and is great for leading to being an advanced Rucker.

endurance and strength. With a longer and heavier Ruck this is for the advanced Rucker.

Since my first session, where I used muscles I didn't know existed, I feel I have become fitter and stronger and have a new found sense of purpose. I find rucking is exhilarating just being outside in the fresh air and has a great effect on my mood. I started rucking with Rucking Fitness 7 months ago and it has become one of my favourite activities. I’ve always loved walking outdoors, and rucking has definitely improved my endurance, strength and general fitness; it’s also a great way to burn calories. The plate workouts are an added bonus, and there’s always a new route, workout or event that keeps it fun and challenging. All the ruckers are lovely and welcoming, and there’s always a great atmosphere, even on the wet and windy days. It's strangely addictive, and the perfect balance of fitness, friendship, and fresh air!

I started rucking with Neil last year. He is a wonderful coach and lead. He tailor makes the session depending on your ability but he takes no prisoners. He encourages each member to improve their fitness too. He explains the science behind the exercises, which I really appreciate. The group is friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend it to anyone at any fitness level. It’s a fun way of getting fit.
